I have this tv model w/52" Brilliant Images picture is sharp, not a 1080p but goes up to 1080I, too bad I paid $3000 for my 3 years ago!
Bummer for #2. A guide in consumer reports a few years back said that you want 1080p for 46 in. and up.
Yep, I'm glad I waited before jumping on the upgrade wagon. Price drops this year are rediculous! But even at this price, I'd suggest putting the money in a 1080p set.
