Question: what consumer electronic device goes from $2700 in 2006 to $769 in 2009?

    Answer: my 50" Panny. Sad

#4 Thanks, you're right. I also have a PS3 now and even though the plasma is 720p, we sit around 10' back and Bluray's look great. But I guess I'm still old school...just not used to wanting a new TV after only 3 years (way back when, you kept your TV for 10 years before swapping out!).

Well that's really how it is with technology right now, cheaper technology, so more people upgrade TVs within a shorter amount of time, like every 3 years.

Don't feel bad; I've been watching a 30 inch CRT that cost me $1500 for 5 years. I'm thinking about going to a 54 inch plasma this year and then I'll need to upgrade to 3D in about 3 more years.

It's actually 768P but it accepts those other resolutions and makes them fit.

I got ya beat, #11... Wink

I bought my 19" CRT bedroom TV used for $75 in 1988 from a hotel that was upgrading their "obsolete" TVs.

It has been used as a Ch3 monitor ever since.

Still works fine, but probably gonna replace it soon. Then I'll see about replacing the 13" I bought used in 1982 to use as a monitor for my TI-994A Wink
