I know it won't help everyone but if you can wait I'd wait. I got the 2011 65 inch version for just under 1500 bucks with free shipping from Amazon in March when they were closing them out. I know the 2012's were supposed to have slightly improved black levels but... I just don't see this a great deal of any kind unless you simply have to have a TV right now. That being said, I love my 65 inch Panasonic plasma!
