Is this refurbished? Seems like a good price.
It doesn't seem to be refurbished. I think the decent price is due to the fact that it is only EDTV.
Check out this deal at Amazon:
$1349.99 HD TV.
Amazon.com has the Panasonic TH-42PX60U 42" Plasma HDTV for a very low $1,349.99. But what makes this deal so hot is that it also includes FREE SHIPPING as well as NO SALES TAX! You may remember Walmart.com carried this model last week for over $1,400, plus shipping and plus sales tax, so this deal from Amazon.com is extremely HOT! PlasmaTVBuyingGuide.com gives this model a very high rating of 95.5 out of 100.
#2, this set is not considered EDTV. the 42" EDTV panny models have a resolution of 852x480.
This is an awesome deal with no tax and free Shipping!!!!
I purchased this tv last Spring for $2000.00 and it is a great TV. I almost want to buy one and sell it for $1700 on E-bay. Go for it!
I'd like to get one of these tvs
GREAT TV. good price...
expect prices to keep going down on these through Jan.
be careful to notice the model #'s, this is NOT an EDTV, its a HDTV. The HDTV panny is TH-42PX60U and the EDTV is TH-42PD60U.
Only down side seems that this does not have a tuner - at least it isn't specifically mentioned in the specifications.
This is HDTV comes with ATSC tuner (save $10/month from rental HD cable box). No PIP, Power consumptions is 399W. Overal, it is okay set. I paid the same $1300. And yes, it will go down to $1000 by Chrismas. Unit can last about 10 years.
I wish i had seen this before I got the 42" Vizio. Not that I have any real issues with the Vizio, but its no Panasonic.
Tax kills it in a whole bunch of states, cheaper at amazon unless you live in Idaho or something.
Wow, Thanks Ben. Great buy. Plasma Tv Buying Guide helped a lot. Can't wait to get it. Good luck to everyone when it does drop to a grand. Might be hard to get.

Outpost had the 50" for $1,999.
Great reviews from http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com
FREE SHIPPING!!! wow that's not bad at all. i wonder if there would be a lot of plasma's on sale for black friday.
nice
Umm, yeah I think this is a typo on Ben's site. The 42PD60U is $1200 on Tweeter.com but the 42PX60U is $1800. The PX is the HDTV one.
