BACKORDERED. Placed order on 11/13, got an e-mail on 11/14 from Tweeter saying it was backordered, called and spoke to a rep today who said they had it in stock until I questioned why my order was backordered.. rep put me on hold and then came back to tell me that it was backordered.

The previously linked review is for the 50" set. I didn't read the reviews side by side, but there may be a difference.
      Here is the correct review:

yeah #7, I am quite satisfied. Besides what the others said, you can view this thing from almost 90 degrees off to the side, and it has the same quality as from straight on. If prices today were the same as they were when I bought, I would still recommend it. I don't know what technology improvements are on the horizon, but otherwise this is a steal.

1080p is only going to be important if BluRay wins the format war. So far, there isn't much that I know of besides BluRay disks that display 1080p.

#14 - Stick with LCDs. Plasma sets causes screen burn-in over time.

Agreed #31, this is the reason I didn't purchase a Plasma. As the technology improves I have no doubt they will fix it, but as it stands now, LCD is the way to go. I just wish Frys would ship me that Samsung 40" I ordered over a week ago.

Great price for a great TV. Panasonic plasmas are known for having great black levels compared to other brands which means you will get excellent detail in your picture. Look to Pioneer for better colors thought.
