Because the lawyer is an rodeo cowboy. Boscovs is a big well known retail store located in malls with Macys and JcPenneys.

#2, when you say "standard def is average" does that include standard-def DVDs?

Not a bad deal... cheaper than the sharp friends and family discount on the Aquos.

I can just picture Yakov Smirnoff as Boscovs spokesperson:

      "I loave dis company!"

if you're getting something bigger than 40" it's probably better just to shell out the extra dough for 1080p otherwise you'll be sore later you wasted a g on a huge tv that looks shitty compared to other people's. under 40" i don't think there's much of a diff

"This item requires Boscov's Home Delivery Service (within a 40-mile radius of any Boscov's store). For further information, click below on Alternate View."

Too bad. The closest I live to a Boscov store falls within a 400 mile radius.

Great TV. I'd take this set at 720p over a similarly-sized LCD at 1080p without question. There's a lot more to picture quality than "number of pixels".

I got mine for about this price 6 or so months ago on a FW deal. Got sears to match a frys.com price and then sent in for a 10% sears rebate that brought the total price to just about $950. Can't beat the performance of this set for that price.

I've never noticed any heat related issues at all. The back panel gets a bit "warm" I guess, but it's really nothing.

nice to see the prices coming down. when the 50" is close to $1200 then you can get one for each room in the house
