Panny plasmas rock. You won't find a better TV for anywhere near the price.

You will not think your looking at a "budget" display. I've seen it and it's the best home display I've seen.

      But wtf, no PC input!!!

Agh, also had trouble with Panny's that had PC inputs.

Anyone know how these compare to Samsungs?

I have this TV but the next model up. It is the TH46PZ85U. The set rocks. It has a PC input but have never tried it. The picture quality is simply the best. The best part, you can plugin your SD card unlike in a Sony. Sony Sucks.

My Brother in law has this in the 50" model. I have the Samsung in the 50" model. I paid about $500 less than he did, and he agrees my picture is superior in quality to his.

There's pros and cons. The Sammy's have better color, but lower black levels. Choose your poison.

#4, sweetheart, do you want to use it as external monitor for your laptop? Did you ever see the plasma displays in airports?

Ehh, what's this? Excuse me for not having a regular computer to hook it up to. Laptops went slower in the HDMI out or DVI out route, unless you have a mac. Excuse me for having the X360 that does not have hdmi out!

      Wtf
      VGA is still relevant!

Yes, because a many years old fujitsu in a commercial installation that displays the same thing 24x7 has something to do with a modern set in a home-use environment?

This is the best set for the price, without question.

#13, I like your smartness. So a TV used in home "environment" will never burn-in because only a few people (may 2-5) watch at home even if it is still pictures from a PC whereas in a commercial installation lot of people will watch so it will go bad soon even though it is dynamic content like TV broadcast?

#10, sears has this for $1200. so with the policy, one can save 10% of $200 (price difference) for $20. I certainly wish it was a higher percentage!

Most people do, except for the rodeo cowboy that don't get it.

This is perhaps the most poorly constructed sentence I've ever come across here, which is saying a lot, but I'll take a shot at this.

Burn-in is dead. Plasma sets haven't had burn-in problems in years. The fact that somewhere, sometime, an old plasma set showed burn-in issues in a 24x7 static commercial setting doesn't mean anything at all to a modern consumer looking to purchase this set for use in their home. It's completely irrelevant.

if i have to leave the tv on for 4 years straight displaying the same information day in, day out for my set to receive that kind of burn in, i'll definitely take my chances

#18, if you look at the history of the price on this item. it has been hovered around $1150 since September, so it is not that big of a jump in my opinion. Still, a great price for a 46" 1080p set.

If you're fine with 720p, wait for the Panasonic 42" to be around $600 again.
