Price falls in reverse since this was on sale at frys last month before the supper bowl for $1500. How do I know? I placed the order and went to look at it. It was big because of the size and the bezel was extra big making even much bigger than it should. I didn't like that then I look at its big brother the vt30 and thee screen look like it faded not as black as this so I was concern. The screen loss its darkness over a real concern with plasma. The final nail in the coffin was the price of the 3d glass. I just ignore the order.
I went with the Sony 55nx720 and the play station glass. 10" smaller but look much better, much thinner. $400 cheaper and $40 glasses instead of $125. Wished the lg passive 3d was on sale but it wasn't. The only option for passive then was vizio for the same price as lg so no. The Toshiba is much cheaper but uninspired and deadly slow and cumbersome.
With some adjustment the Sony has awesome pictures in 2d. OK 3d, great color but there is ghosting on top of the picture.
With the 2012 TVs coming the price should fall way below $2000 again. So this is not a deal.
