Not a bad price, at least it's not a Vizio. How good are Panasonic LCDs vs Plasmas?

I just bought a 42 inch Panasonic G15 plasma. The picture is amazing and blows most LCD's out of the water. I got an open box unit (I can't find one thing wrong with it) locally for $850 out the door. As far as I am concerned it was a great deal. Yeh, there are cheaper 42 inch LCD's but not with a comparable picture. Just my opinion but I am very happy with mine. Not sure I could go back to LCD now....

budman ure bs. The lowest price on a 42" G10 is about 850. The g15 is on another level and pretty much a grand+.

You can get a 42" G15 out the door for $950 without looking too hard - $850 is probably not outside the realm of possibility.

As for this one - generally positive reviews from what I've seen on AVS forum. One of the threads there has a fairly lengthy input lag test, and it seems to have performed well.

You cannot go wrong picking Panasonic as your TV. I love mine. Always the best sound and picture.

i just bought a 32" Sony Bravia (720p) from Sears for $318 out the door (after $40 instant discount and 20% = $72 Bing cashback). I wonder if this is a better deal since it's 1080p ... Iono, I like Sony a lot but I haven't even received it yet haha...
