Bought one of these at Sears during their recent special ($990 + tax on a Sears card). Now that it's finally broken in (120 or so hours of color slides) it really is a great TV. My only issue with it is that my Mac Mini (DVI->HDMI) at 1080i/p doesn't look all that great. To get it to display at full screen, I have to use overscan and then have the TV scale it back down. So, fonts look a little jagged.

However, for what it's made for (video content) it looks fantastic, and I haven't even gotten to really tuning the picture.

Aren't you supposed to burn in at 50% across the board?

you guys need to go to avsforums or hdjunkies to read some of the posts. that's what i did when i purchased my pannny plasma couple months ago. you'll get much more precise answers than people on this board.

The only thing you need to do is avoid black bars and static images for ther first 100-200 hours. Don't keep picture settings too low either. You don't need to use any special DVD or settings.

I would refer to the users' manual... I think the newer sets of plasmas are less susceptible to burn in...
