Great price on a great set. Nice picture, deep blacks. Like all plasmas excellent viewing angle. Paid almost that for my 720p TH-42PX80U not long ago. You likely will not do better, not even on BF.

there are no deals on 1080P Panasonics on BF, so you will definitely not do better than this. This price is hella good, but I am always cautious to buy big ticket electronics from companies other than the big ones like Sears, BestBuy, or Circuit City (as long as it keeps floating). I say this mainly because of the ease of problem solving if there is an issue.

what would the big chain stores do for u? Nothing unless it is broken within the first 2 weeks! Otherwise, unless you brought their extended warranty, u are still out of luck but to take it back to the manufacture's repair shop. That is why Costco is so popular. U can try it out for 3 months.

#3, I meant with the extended warranty...this is why I would select one of the major chains as their long term service would be better.

6th avenue is legit. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

You're talking a difference of ~100 watts or so between a plasma and LCD of this size. I'll gladly pay the extra $6 a year to enjoy a far superior picture.

Is it just me or did the price go up? I'm seeing it for $1000.

Agree with #9, plasma is much better in every way when comparing to LCD. They win reviews all the time in comparisons, but ignorance of society listen to the people that speak the loudest and not always those who are right.

Free ship makes this a decent deal although I'm inclined to believe that 1080 doesn't do much on a 42 incher.

Some credit cards offer extended-warranty-type coverage on electronics purchased with the card -- check out your cardholder's agreement!

Great TV. Use coupon CAT6OFF and get it for $798.
6ave is a good vendor. I ordered the PX model from them a few weeks ago.
You can get the high rated 720p version of this, TH-42PX80U for $685.

#18, that's half of what I payed for my 42PX60U a few years ago. It's still a great picture with NO problems to speak of. This is a great deal.
