Avira AntiVir is better and more free.

I use Eset Nod32, Norton used to be bloated but folks say it is better now.

I've read Norton 2009 is completely different and much better. I'm still leary of using it though. Anyone else know if this AV is any good?

Pretty good reviews on Panda and it includes the antispyware too. Avira AntiVir appears to charge for the antispyware.

Our cable provider offers McAfee as a free download, but I was not very impressed and replaced it.

AVG user here. As far as antispyware, there are a few good free ones out there too. I use spyware search and destroy. This day and age, there is little reason in my opinion to be paying for the stuff....though I'm sure panda makes a good quality product

Bah! This stuff is terrible! I use Panda here at work and it bogs down every machine it touches. At home I use Bach Khoa. It's Vietnam's choice for anti-virus and uses practically no system resources.

I installed this on my home PC... It seems to work well enough as far as AV capabilities. I think it could stand to be more efficient in terms of using resources, but it's not as bad as my old copy of Norton was.
