Patriot is not a bad brand- I have some and never have any problms. However for $67 AR you can get OCZ ddr2 800, then why get this one ??

I would get the crucial ballistix pc2-8500 for for $85 instead. Much better deal and plus the ballistix are guaranteed D9 chip.

crucial ballistix pc2-8500 is great for OC. It really depends what board you are going to use with and how are you going to use it. If you try to OC the memory timing and don't mind paying $18 more- crucial ballistix pc2-8500 is a better choice. However that the deal for pc2 8500 is over. Newegg has sold out the memory.
