#3 Patriot has been around for a while. Not as main stream as Crucial but still decent.

no rebate, so that makes this one better than the 4gb for $80 earlier, that included a $40 rebate

I bought both 4gb sets ... the Patriot from Frys and the Gskill from Newegg ... although both of these ram 4gb sets are very weak on timings and speed ... in a 64 bit system they can be set up as very powerful cache or ramdrives. Even with bad timings they will provide huge performance gains over hard drive performance lag as long as you set up your 64bit system and Ram Drives properly.

you don;t need a 64 bit system to use cache rams. You can use 3rd party programs to create ram drives in windows. Great for photoshop scratch disk or any other files that gets written alot like virtual mem in XP.

Stay away Patriot. Memory is cheap enough that it makes sense to go with PC2-800, so that you can clock and use it in the next generation 45nm.
