$110 for a generic brand? Plus you put your expensive hardware in danger. No thanks

go for Antec and other well known brands.

I'd be pretty skeptical that it can handle anything near it's rated 750W.

#1, be prepared to get flamed into the next year for calling PCP&C a "generic brand". But not by me - I don't care.

PC P&C used to be one of the most respected brands. They actually over-spec their power supplies, and the pricing reflects it. They've since been bought by OCZ, which in my opinion is a step down, but others may know the brand OCZ better.

#1, they are not a generic brand. you can go back into your cave now.

#2, that is for cw17 to decide, not you

Right #3, PC Power & Cooling power supplies are among the very best out there and have been for many years. #1 is clueless...

Oh, by the way, Antec doesn't make their own power supplies. They contract other companies like FSP and Seasonic to make them. They've been known to produce some dogs as well.

The R6 version appears to be more than four rungs lower in the model sequence than an R2? That places him in the moron specification of units, or maybe his generic PSU has fried somthing in him.

I use PC Power & Cooling, they are far from 'Generic' Great stable power. Rock solid, perfect power.

I have this power supply and it works great. IMO, it's a solid PS at a great price. The people who think other wise should put down their crack pipe. My .02

i actually have 6 of these. all are rock solid, 3 run at 580-600w 24/7 for months now. no problems, ever.
way tighter voltage than the antec 850 and corsair 750w that i have as well.

the colored ones (red, blue) have a very nice finish.

i'm 5 for 6 on rebates (the one was my fault-some have a 12 day turnaround period)

i'd love to see this go against an antec signature 850 or 650...

PC Power and Cooling is an excellent designer of psu's and this model is no exception. More wattage than I need or I would jump on it.

What about the noise? The next PS I buy has to be quiet. I like Seasonic, but very pricey.

I am wondering if this can power 2 4870 x2 (got one already)? I am waiting for a good deal on a 1kw to hold me for the next few years.

I have the black version of this PS. Bought it from Newegg back on BF. This is the top rated PS on most review sites. It's a monster of a PS with one huge 12V rail. Top quality design and it's rock solid. Just take a little time to read up on this PS and you'll learn that it beats out all of the '08 PS models ranging from 700-1000 watts. This is a very good deal.

This is a great power supply and a great deal. These guys make the PSUs for BFG and others. They are very high quality in my experiences. I have the BFG 800w quad rail from them and it's ROCK solid. With the stability of these, I would hesitate to think anyone could shake it with running even two high end graphics cards. If you need a larger PSU or this fits your budget, you can't go wrong here. Kinda wish I needed one really Wink
