Uh, read feedback from people at S _l _i _c _k _ d _e _a _l _ s and you'll see these units are pretty poor. Most are returning their units. That's why you're seeing these on sale or with a rebate so much recently. That's always a warning sign.
It is what it is, a small battery jumping a vehicle that was using a larger one. Keep the battery in it charged up (top off every 3 to 6 months), and leave it inside where it is warm in the winter, and it will do the job, but it won't perform miracles.
The reason why something like this gets moved out with a rebate is because they don't want them sitting on shelves for too long, allowing the SLA battery to drain too low which can cause damage. In other words the manufacturing rate exceeded the sales rate.
I have a similar unit as I have sleep apnea and my CPAP will run on 12 volts. I keep it charged and warm in the event of a power outage. But reliability issues seem to plague this model... not good if you really NEED it when you NEED it. '
Looks like a decent deal, but make sure it works by giving it a good test before the return period expires.
My girlfriend's vibrator is only a 3 volt cordless model. When it started vibrating erratically during foreplay and contrary to Dave's advice, I decided to jump started it with this thing to save the moment... I'm not sure what happened next but I remember hearing a scream and then a moan and when I looked over, she was already smoking a cigarette...
Nice price, the battery in these usually costs over $30 by itself.
If you use your Discover Card you can get all this and 10% cashback. Sorry Ben
