Advance Auto Parts has the Peak 900 Amp Peak Jump-Starter (PKCOAZ) for $80 + $0.29 filler - $30 off with coupon code RAF51112 ($80 coupon minimum) - $20 rebate [Exp 12/26] = $30 with free in-store pickup. Use stackable code DEM3 to receive a $25 coupon for use towards a future purchase of $50 or more.
these have to be recharged/topped off once a month. comes with an AC adapter that you plug in.
Does anybody know if this deal actually works? The documentation for the DEM3 code specifically states, amongst a bunch of other restrictions and exclusions "Coupons are not combinable with any other promotional offers."

As to whether or not the product actually works, I have doubts about that, too.
I bought one of these like 3 months ago and it has been fantastic. I have boosted a half a dozen times and still shows full charge.
I bought this last time they had this deal. It works great. I used in just the other night.
I have a 750A that barely turns over a weak battery so this 900A should work better.
I bought the charger from these guys a few weeks ago. Rather than sending the shop rag filler they sent a jeep radiator. I'm still waiting for the shipping label to return it. I not I suppose I'll ebay it... Weird.
I listed my cotter pin on ebay
What can you buy, as a filler, that's 80 cents to $1.00
^ How about nail clippers for 99 cents? http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/aconbay-P_N3036_A|GRP2013
... or search for "towel" and a list of towels and sponges will come up. Higher than $1 but you'll probably find some use for them, or given the time of year, $2 for some windshield washer fluid.
Sounded like a good deal but I wasn't sure I could use a jump starter... But after Dave posted the deal for the 99 cent nail clippers, that sealed the deal for me and I bought it.
The printed rebate form looks a little strange. I'm not sure if it's my software but the form I print looks to be missing the standard requirements of sending a copy of the invoice and the original bar code label from the box...
Thanks Dave

If you have doubts, test it by attaching the black clamp to a ground and the red clamp to your nuts.
