with good lens and in good hands it still will make great pictures, if u already have good hands and lens Smile, K20D will be a better choise(sensor, resolution, etc.)

Not a deal. I brought this with a kit lens for $550 after rebate 2 year ago. This will be a good price for a K200D but not a K100.

May not be the most smoking deal that's ever been on this site, but this is still a great camera for an entry-level DSLR. Any K-mount lens works with it, as do the M42 screw-mount lenses with an adapter. This gives you a great selection of inexpensive glass.

The only caveat with the K100D (versus the K100D Super, K10D, K200D, K20D or new K7D) is that it does not have SDM support. There are one or two, new, inexpensive K-mount (known as "KAF3") lenses that require SDM and no longer have a screw slot. g, the DA 17-70 f/4.

Again, the K100D has been long discontinued and replaced by the K100D Super, which has SDM (along with even newer models). Pentax would never continue to sell a body that doesn't support even new lenses, and the SDM-only lenses did not come out until well after the K100D Super hit. And as always, newer Pentax bodies are always backward compatible with all AF lenses prior.
