This is a really good deal. Plenty of pixels. Good Pentax image quality. And water/weather proof. These won't cost this little when summer arrives.

      Bottom line. It sucks.
Unless pentax image quality mean that it should suck. Its a horrid camera. Unless you need the waterproofing.

Pentax actually has great image quality for the price. I've been using a K10D for some time now; however, this camera is good for the price range; however, there are some noise issues due to the lens from other reviews I've seen. I wouldn't say it's a horrid camera in the last bit, just leave a little to be desired in noise present if you want to blow up your pictures to a large size.

higher megapixels does not equate to better picture quality... most people do not know this... unless you need waterproofing, get a Canon for about the same price... much better lens and quality.

I've had a pentex digital camera a long time ago, and I ended up reselling it. The picture quality was horrible. I'm not sure about this model, but if history is any predictor for future outcomes I would pass on this. Unless, you need a waterproof camera.

Reviews on amazon for this are 3/5 stars after 25 reviews - Given how people usually rate things HIGHER than they should, that indicates it sucks.

Probably decent if for some reason you have a compelling reason to snap pictures in your bathtub.

go on dpreview.com to see what they said haters. not saying this is an amazing camera, but if you need a camera that can take underwater pictures and can stand the elements, $150 is not a bad deal by any means. I Ben posted the canon waterproof camera that has better imagine quality, but it was around $100 more?

Too bad that the W60 scored much better than the W80... Regardless that is a great price...

#5, any Canon camera in this price range has better optics and picture quality. Go read the reviews and see.
