I could see this being useful for training a dog that does disobedient things when you aren't at home, like if you wanted to plan some kind of aversion training device to (for instance) teach the dog that the couch is off-limits even when nobody is home.

However this isn't going to be good for much more than that. House dogs do surprisingly little of interest on their own. And with at-best one frame per minute, you aren't going to catch the dog eating his own crap or going in a trash can.
