Yeah, Philips is clearly much better bargain. Most people end up with a perfectly fine refurb from Philips. You just save tons of money.

One other thing, plasma is better than LCD. But if you were buying LCD, buy Philips anyway. They are just that much better.

I haven't heard anyone yet be happy with Philips refurb. Sad
My plasma baconnaise the bed quickly, my LCD is the balls.

I wonder where the real horndoggy has been lately. Hasn't posted in a while. And in an unrelated story, the number of entertaining exchanges has decreased dramatically. Hmmm..bacon must be some kind of amazing coincidence...

Wouldn't touch a Phillips LCD or Plasma with a 10' pole. Brother bought one and it was dead within a month. Phillips repair guy said, don't buy Phillips and showed him the room full of dead flat panels. After six months he finally got his money back from Phillips, he bought direct.

#5 Then you haven't been on bensbargains a lot. Lots of bensbargainers are happy with Philips refurbs.

#8 I work for Matsushita (parent of Pansonic) and I recommend Philips. That should say it all.

I think that #9 really works for Philips.

Got one of the 30" CRTs a few months ago. Still going strong and the picture is great, but I had trouble hooking it up to my computer. I have a 8800 with component out, but the picture is garbage on the TV even at different resolutions. This is probably not the place to ask technical questions... but other then that the TV works great and was a deal!

I got a 30" CRT about three years ago from philips outlet- and I couldn't be happier. My friend got this exact TV about two months ago and is happy with it.

#6, I think the real Horndoggy11 got electrocuted attempting to install AC-powered landscape lighting. Poor soul, I kept trying to sell him on solar, but he wouldn't listen.

#16 that's certainly the funniest quote of the day. Just in case this is 'real' Horndoggy speaking I think it is very rude to refer to him as a number....let's show some respect!
