Buy.com shows this tv as 120Hz, I bought this tv from Sams Club for $900 in January. Its a good tv that has its drawbacks. It doen't have many manualy adjustable settings for the picture and the black level could be better. Since prices have droped on much better name brand tvs I would buy a LG or Samsung even if I had to sacrifice the 120Hz. I would rather have a 60Hz tv with excellent picture quality rather than 120Hz with good picture quality.
has anyone else had bad experiences with Philips products? I tend to avoid this brand like the swine flu due to a couple of bad experiences...namely some cheap a$$ noise cancelling earbuds that broke on the 2nd day of use as well as a now defunct DVD player that had the awesome tendency to work fine for about 42 minutes and then freeze up like clockwork. I see good deals on Philips TVs but then I always think twice before considering a purchase.
