The warranty is crap, only like 3 months and I think I heard Philips is no longer making tv's, so i'd recommend if you're in the market for a tv to keep looking.

This sold out on Woot the other day at about the same price, which surprised me because of the crappy warranty. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable throwing $1200 at a product backed by a 90 day warranty.

But, with these specs (and if the TV keeps working well), it is a steal.

On a side note: I bought a refurbished Philips DVD player from buy.com that didn't work when I received it (+ buy.com's return policy sucks). So I called Philips and they sent me another DVD player of the same model (which works great currently) and instructed me to ship the old one back. They sent me a label that said it was prepaid, but it wasn't and I had to pay for shipping back to Philips, which was a bit shady IMO. After shipping it bascially brought the total amount I spent up to the price of a new model.

So if you buy this hopefully it works for you.

$1,200 for a refurbished Philips? You'd think the least they could do is throw in a coupon for dinner and some lube.

I'm sure you could spare some lube. You and your boyfriend must go through tons of it every night.
