BAD->Philips get's more returns than any other brand due to hardware failures-cheap components and heat issues.
BAD->90-day Philips warranty applies - worthless.
BAD->As of September '08, Philips will no longer make televisions for the US and Canada, now made by Funai.
A 90 day warranty on a $1200 investment is pretty scary.

Why would you even consider buying a refurbished TV for $1200?
Philips, Westinghouse & Polaroid = the worst LCD TV makers.
So, even Vizio and Isignia are better than those three brands?
Samsung is the best. No decent warranty from woot.com anyway.

thought this was good but after seeing refurbished i'm not interested. Especially the replies from this thread say it isn't a good buy.
