I have one of these worked fine for 3 months and now it turns off then back on randomly. Anyone else have this problem? Also if I have something plugged into HDMI or Side AV and turn the component off and turn it back on I have to turn the TV off then on to get the signal recognized.

Hmm, I've seen this and the Sharp Aquos 1080p for this price for a while. Seeing as #1 has experienced difficulties with this one, would the Sharp one be better (even though it isn't 120 Hz)?

There's a firmware update on Philip's website and it addresses the intermittent on/off issue. I have read from others where this firmware update has solved the on/off issue.

I also called the support on Philips and was answered quickly by a gentleman who understood and spoke English fluently. I'm not being prejudice but it was nice not to have to repeat myself or wait on the line forever.

Well #3 if they spoke English fluently it can't have been an American, must have been a Canadian, British or Australian call center.

I don't trust Philips products had some in the past that were lemons. Tons of HDTV refurbs a bad sign. They have been spanked so bad on HDTV's they are quitting making them and are going to be rebranding Chinese makers junk. Big improvement? I recommend Samsung unless it is a screaming deal.

Looks like a deal for a 120Hz LCD of that size. Contrast ratio is meh but lots of HDMI inputs. I'd hop on this except for the fact that it contains the words "refurb" and "tigerdirect" together.

Philips has made garbage TVs before. There were loads of refurbs up on Bens. I still don't trust them. I'd go for that Sharp #2 was mentioning. If my 37" Dell gave way, I'd go for that too.
