Are the extension sets wall-mountable? I'd like to replace my 49Mhz AT&T extension.
#1: no, they aren't. Sound quality on these is very good, but the handsets are small, and I have gone through 2 sets of rechargeables in 3 months. On the plus side, the blue backlighting is cool, speakerphone is loud, and they have a ton of functionality.
I got these for $80 at my local Fry's B&M about a month ago. One downside coming from my last AT&T system is they DO NOT have a community phonebook or recent calls log. You have to manually input everything on each handset, which is a hassle if you have a lot of numbers. If you delete a "NEW CALL!" notification on one set, all the rest will continue to display it. I don't know why they couldn't include this feature, since the date/time settings do share between all phones.
I'm with #4. Great phones, but the "1 Missed Call" message on the other phones is annnoying when you've already checked on one phone. Having to manage 4 phonebooks is really a hassle when you have so many cell phone providers reporting "City, ST" instead of the subscriber's name on Caller ID.
