Got this a few weeks back, works pretty well although it has a long load time. Good buy if you want to wait the format wars out.

And you know how extensive it is because you were perusing it, u sick bastard.
I agree with post #2
#3: burp you. Unless you're a 13 year old girl, why don't you just go ahead and spell out the word "you"? Have some burp respect for the other thumbplum around this place. And if you are a 13 year old girl, you're fat. Why are you so fat? All your friends are skinny. They're also prettier than you.

I agree with #1, takes a few seconds to load disc and the tray is slow to open when button is pushed...Otherwise it seems to play the discs well, and the USB port on front is nice to have.
Got this player at Sam's for $59. Formatted a partition of my external harddrive to FAT32 and now play all my video files on the big screen. Plays almost everything I've thrown at it. A few of my videos didn't have audio because the player didn't have the right codec, but out of the dozens of files it has played I can live with that. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a DVD player or just want something that you can hook a harddrive up to the TV with.
I had a problem with this set to upscale to 1080p via HDMI, it sent a 4:3 DVD of home videos to the TV squished into 16:9 aspect ratio. Haven't troubleshot it, so don't know if it happens with other home-made DVDs. Also the extras "Hot Fuzz," were not showing in the correct aspect ratio, couldn't get it to display right. I'm pretty tech savvy, so I'm thinking it's a player bug. Overall, not too impressed, the player upscaling isn't noticably better than what my Vizi 1080p does. It is pretty cheap, though.
What is this forum's obsession with pedophilia? I've run across WAY too many references to it already. Thankfully there are still a few people posting useful comments. Interesting suggestion, #7. Thanks!

Is there a limit to the size of the external drive that this player can take? Would a 300 gig drive cause this player to play videos out of sync?
HMMM...I think I might pick this one up.
