Simulates a natural sunrise by gradually increasing light 30 minutes prior to your set wake-up time. Features 20 brightness settings, 2 natural wake-up sounds, digital FM radio, and 4 display brightness settings.
Sounds interesting. Anybody have any experience with these?
I bought one of these a few weeks ago after keeping my eye on it for a long time (it's pretty expensive for what it is, after all.) I can't say that I give it the GLOWING reviews like some on Amazon, but it is definitely nicer to wake to light than an alarm or to a completely dark room. When I forget to set it, I definitely feel more disorientated and groggy than when I wake to a lit room. (I set the audio alarm to the lowest setting and use my cell phone for an alarm, so if I forget to set the lamp, my phone will wake me.) The lamp is not like having the the full glory of the sun in your room, so if that's what you're expecting you will be disappointed. I think if you're curious about it, and are a sleep hygiene nerd like me, you should get it and give it a shot. It makes a nice reading lamp, too.
