    I had one of these.

sound quality was okay but only after screwing around with the various pre-sets. At best it was useful for a small room.. it had plenty of volume but not a lot of "throw". sound quality quickly degraded once you were >10ft away.

my biggest gripe was that the sub is line of site only... and wasn't generous with the distance either.. i had to keep mine within 6 feet or so, and without any blockages.

It was so sensitive that the bass would drop out if my cat ran in between the parent unit and the sub.

luckily it wound up breaking within the 1 year time period. (would turn on and pop, but no sound) To philips' credit - they replaced it right away and with zero hassle. Shipping was paid both ways.

I sold it and got something else... maybe mine was simply defective, and thats the problem with the range/line of site.. who knows. i wasn't about to keep it to find out. I got it from best buy and paid a bit more than this.. i got it when it first came out at 349.00. in that price range there are a lot of better options. i sold the replacement they sent me for 150.00. Live and learn.

Also - the claimed wattage seems like BS to me. I have a set of logitech 2.1 speakers rated at less than 1/3 the RMS wattage and the sound was far more powerful than with this set. just FYI.
