Mr. Ed, what's the scoop on this system?

I listened to this and the HTS3544 in the store and I thought it sounded nice. The speakers are hard wired which doesn't work for me since my room is already wired. the salesperson said that splicing the wire voids the warranty and violates the return policy.

Mr.Ed is probably more of an expert on these things than me.

BestBuy also has this on sale but for $199. Buy it at BestBuy, then immediately head to customer service and show them the Circuit City ad to get 110% of the difference. (if you show them the ad FIRST, you'll only get a price match). Not a big deal, but $3 extra, and if you have a BestBuy RewardsZone card, you'll get credit, plus piss off ToddSucks who hates BestBuy!
