Buy.com has the Philips SHN2500 Noise Cancelling Earphones for $13 + $0 shipping = $13 shipped. Yes these are "active" noise cancellation headphones, not simply earplugs that block outside noise (although it appears they do that as well). [Compare]

    Horrible... HORRIBLE!

Initially wanted to try for those senheiser (spelled wrong) headphones but just couldn't bring myself to spend $100 for headphones.

I purchased these at an FYE store a while ago and the sound comes out tinny. Bass is almost non existent.

I ended up getting the Motorola MOTOROKR EH25 instead. Granted it costs a little bit more (about $30) but the sound (while not spectacular) works well. It also comes with a microphone which works with my iphone 3g.

#1, which Sennheisers were you thinking of purchasing?

The CX300B costs about $20 and is very much worth it for the sound quality it gives.

Just got these 2 days ago from Woot.com. I'm not sure what #1 is talking about but I'm extremely impressed with these.

These are the 2nd best in-ear headphones I've had next to my Shure's that broke a couple of months ago.

Granted, the sound quality sucks with the active noise cancelling off but with it turned on I can hear so much more.

These are a no brainer for $13.

The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the way the cord is designed. But it's a small gripe.

Had a pair of these a while back.

the cord length to the "noise canceling" module is short so it's hanging from your ears. The "noise canceling" is really just a booster.

The weirdest thing was it came with extra, different size ear buds but only 1 of each.

I also got these from woot.com yesterday. They suck. Tinny, with screeching highs. They have bass but not that great. Noise cancellation is pretty good, though. Active noise cancellation just introduces some hiss and makes the music louder, it's pretty useless. But for $12 what can I expect?
