ZipZoomFly has the Pineapple Rumble KW Bone Conduction EarWoofer Water Proof Headphones for $73 - $3 off with coupon code dadsgrads = $70 with free shipping. Bone conduction technology uses transducers in each in-ear earphone to transmit sound vibration through your bones rather than through the air.
Any reviews on this? Novel concept.
so are these supposed to be better than 'over the air'.
stupid, what bones are in your ears will these conduct sound down that is not already being used for 'hearing'. As sound is vibration, so any sound will cause vibrations? I assume these change the frequency of the sound, well that is not going to be honest to the music. PLUS, a headphone jack has so little power any serious LF sounds wont be enough to 'shake your body'. Just get some quality cans - "Grado sound labs SR60" for the same price..
Terrible reviews everywhere. These were $40 at 1saleaday a week ago.
The Grado headphones are fine, but if you want quality sound PLUS isolation, go with any name-brand canalphones. I use Shure canalphones, and the results are remarkable.
