Is this any good and is it easy?
Is this thing legal to use with dvds? I would assume it would only be legal with user created/captured content but is it also legal to use with personally purchased dvds?
ive got one.. its decent and easy.. after you get it setup and working..
with vista or 7, it took a few software updates before it would run properly.. the instructions were pretty clear, just be sure you do all the updates before you even bother trying to use it
this isnt for copying copyrighted dvds.. this is for connecting to a device like a camcorder and pulling your videos off, and then burning as a dvd. studio is a good bundle, and the hardware is decent.

What kind of horrible person would want to steal from the movie industry? Only evil, thieving, no good, scoundrels would even think of making back up copy's. You should be ashamed of yourselves for even thinking of using anything other than dvd shrink for that sort of thing.
I had one of these. It worked great and was easy to use. I used to to transfer old home videos to Dvd.

$25 seems to be the going price. Woot has had the same item several times in the past. That's where I got mine and it is still sitting unopened in the box.
