Are these any good? My mom wants to convert some videotapes to DVD and she's techy enough to use basic software.
I have a tuner card in my computer and I've done this but it's a pain...I'd rather find something easier to use for her...
video transfer services can be found on the internets for less than $10/tape. save yourself the headache.
I have the newer white version and it works fine. Not sure what #2 is talking about with the headache comment. I'd rather do it myself than to send the tape in to someone on the 'internets'.

The only software I installed was the Instant DVD Recorder software and I saved the video to the hard drive then burned the disk with Nero Recode 2. No editing, just copied and burned.
LOL...internets... Do I need American Online to get those internets? How many gigas does my hard drive have to have?
Yeah, I'm a DIYer and I don't feel like sending my stuff out and praying that it doesn't get lost and paying for shipping, plus $10 per video.
#6 do you have 32 or 64 version of vista. I just bought an easycap converter off the "internets" for $10 shipped and it said it works with xp and vista but it didn't work with my vista x64 so I'm gonna try my friends vista 32 before I return it.
