these bluray players should really start to consider integrating the features of those standalone media players to stay competitive in the market. If you think about it, media players like the one WD makes is really just a bluray player with the drive stripped out

Just spoke with Pioneer. The model BDP-121 is a Canadian model and if used in the US it will not have a warranty. The US version is BDP-120 (Buy.com $189.99 w/ free SH). To get the 1080I or 1080p you must use the HDMI (as quoted by Pioneer). It will up-scale (HDMI only).
