Amazon has the Pioneer SP-FS52-LR Andrew Jones Designed Floor standing Loudspeakers (each) for $100 with free shipping. Add to cart to see discounted price. Normally found for around $130. Features three 5.25" structured surface woofers and a 1" tweeter. Excellent Amazon reviews.
Just my 2 cents, but most of the glowing reviews come from people who have upgraded from really lousy speakers - such as the ones included with HTIB systems.
When buying speakers on a budget, your best bet is to buy used audiophile grade speakers that have good foam surrounds (or have been refoamed). Classic Advents with new foam sell for around $100 for the pair these days. old school Polks are affordable too. Also when you go back to the 1970s, Realistic (yes, Radio Shack's brand) speakers still do pretty well when compared to the cheap stuff made today.
Not a good time to be selling things with the Andrew Jones name.

Won't old audiophile grade speakers have rubber surrounds?
