The bailout continues. Discovery Store has the Planet Earth: Complete Collection on defunct HD-DVD for $30 - $5 code EML2008 + $3 shipping = $28. This release includes all the episodes (4 DVDs) from the original Discovery Channel production. Narrated by Sigourney Weaver. [Info]

HD-DVD is nothing more than an upconverted DVD signal done is post processing. That is why it has DVD in the name. Blu-ray is actually filmed in HD so it is better.

Also since the discs are blue, it holds more information. Studies show that the color blue has better saturation of data then the color red.

SD is superior. It's cheap, readily available, and is good enough.

seems a bit vain to have a series on earth. how about "planet mars" or "planet venus."
