    HD-DVD is nothing more than an upconverted DVD signal done is post processing. That is why it has DVD in the name. Blu-ray is actually filmed in HD so it is better.

    Also since the discs are blue, it holds more information. Studies show that the color blue has better saturation of data then the color red.
