Even though I paid $100 for the BBC version of this 3 months ago, I think it's well worth the extra $70 not to have to listen to Sigourney Weaver's tortured narration.

Great set regardless on HD DVD. Go get it. Who cares if the format is dead.

Now that there aren't any HD-DVD players that work can anyone tell me if these will play in my Blue-Ray player? Thanks in advance!

Can you choose someone other than Sigourney Weaver or Richard Attenbro? I'm thinking Sean Connery or Master P.

I've always liked Morgan Freeman as a narrator or Anthony Hopkins

#10, please stop trolling around here giving people misinformation. #7, HD-DVD discs will play just fine in your Blue-Ray player.

I still don't understand why Toshiba sent out viruses to kill everyone's HD-DVD players. They could have just let everyone continue using them and just not make anymore. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when Sony buys you out.

OK, let's hope that Amazon follows suit, so I can get a refund of some of the $54 I paid for the BBC version there...I've got two weeks left in the price match window....

BTW, the BBC set for $55 plus a $90 HD-DVD player is worth every penny. The video will blow your mind - not only because of the HD but because of the amazing footage they got.

#16, I emailed Amazon and linked them to this thread. They sent me a reply thanking me with a $10 gift card and let me know they would not be dropping the price on the BBC version for three weeks now. They originally planned on dropping it next week to $25, but this insider info just saved them some money.
