The bailout continues. Discovery Store has the Planet Earth: Complete Collection on defunct HD-DVD for $30 with free shipping. This release includes all the episodes (4 DVDs) from the original Discovery Channel production. Narrated by Sigourney Weaver. [Info]

#25, not nearly as good as the PBS version narrated by Yanni.

If I could have things my way, I'd have all documentaries narrated by Wallace Shawn.

Sigourney Weaver, decent person, does nice work.

He kinda looks like a chick though.

Orderd mine... $29.95 - free shipping.

Also got the HD-DVD A30 w/ two HD DVDs from tiger-direct @119, that included an offer for 5 free HD DVD titles - today was the last day for that. I really bought it for the reported excellent upscaling to 1080p (including 24fps) for regular DVD's, and optical audio out.

    I'm a moron.

I really enjoyed this series. It's got more substance than the Sunrise Earth series.

I can't get the $30 price, it always comes up as $80 for me.
    I've tried with Firefox.
    I've tried with Konqueror.
I've tried with Konqueror set to identify itself as "IE6.0 on XP."

I'm currently on linux, and I don't have wine installed, so I don't think I'll be able to use IE. Any other suggestions?

#38 the only way i could get it to work was with IE. it didnt show the savings until you added the products to your cart. It may be worth going to someones place to order this from.
