I love the BBC version ...
Got this for my dad for his birthday. Non BR but he still loved it.
BBC with David Attanborough, anything else is sacrilege.
#19.. that was the most useless comment EVER!
"BBC with David Attanborough, anything else is sacrilege."
Show me where I can get the BBC set on Blu-ray for $30 and change shipped and I won't be sacrilegious.
Go for the BBC version. Higher resolution and Attenborough is superior to Weaver.
With a large screen TV (46"+) the 1080p makes a big difference. Also playing this on the playstation 3 rather than the xbox 360 seems to have a much better picture. Colors look way more vibrant and the black shots are more clear. My opinion at least.
Here's what happened when I tried this. Be interesting to see how this pans out.

Planet Earth Blu-ray Set for only $24.99! applied 1
$99.95

-->I applied the coupon once and total came out to $0 but I'm charged $9.95 for s/h not $4 which is no complaint with this deal. But as I said...we'll see what happens. The $99.95 must be the retail price.
Coupon not working anymore wtf?
Sorry, but coupon "PE7843" is not available for this order.
Got it, but $4 shipping was no more. Still a good deal considering that Target sells this for about $75-$85
Pretty sure the BBC version has roughly 4 mins of extra footage per episode as the Discovery version was cut for commercials when it originally aired. I personally waited out all the Amazon specials on the BBC version because I prefer to listen to Sigourney Weaver rather than Attenborough. It comes down to preference.
And to what #5 said, yea you might expect an alien to jump off the screen with Weaver's narration at any moment... but it feels just as plausible for a T-Rex to come out of the jungle with Attenborough speaking...
Some of the best money you ever spend.

Agreed. Timeless series that even my kid truly enjoyed.
Great if you like to see animals killed.
