I have one of these. They work really well, and don't look like a you know what... It fits amazingly well, without hooking over your ear.

The best, period. Was on sale at Amazon the week before Thanksgiving for $49; currently selling at Costco for $79.

Eventho Discovery 925 is higher model than the Voyager 510, but it's sound quality isn't. I own both, Voyager 510 is an older and lower model, but it's more comfortable and better and clearer voice/sound. I am kinda disappointed on the Discovery 925.

I have one of these and it seems to work well, although I haven't used many other headsets for long enough to have a real basis for comparison. I do like the non-over-ear style and it seems to do a good job of cutting out background noise. However, wind noise will sometimes still cause problems.

one day these headsets will just be small enough to go inside the ear canal (much like a hearing-aid); we will look back and laugh at these designs...

I think not. People like to see that you are speaking into a communication device, and aren't just talking to yourself.

I have one that works really well, except that sometimes I get a slight buzzing sound constantly, and the device will heat up like crazy so much that it almost hurts to touch it. I've contacted customer support and they said I could RMA it without any issues, so we'll see how that goes. However it is very light and stays in place pretty well despite not having an ear loop.

They probably have military or DOD headsets that go in the ear already.
