Check your local TJ Maxx and Marshalls for some of these at $10 on clearance. I have no idea of how good they are, what kinds of batteries they take, or what brands they are, but for those in the know, they may be fine.

This uses the Plantronics proprietary power connector right? Another cable to carry around and loose!

I have this. Proprietary built-in battery. Works well for cell phone. Very good earpiece for the price.

      Don't know about the 510, #5.

Unbelievable could mean good or bad. I got in on this same deal the last time it was around (about a week ago). I got it two days ago, and have used it all yesterday. Generally, it is a very good headset, though having it in my ear (I was taking a road trip) for 2+ hours started to make my ear hurt. Of course, everyone's ear is different, but it seemed that the part that goes in your ear could have been a lot smaller, as the piece that goes around your ear performs to stabilize the headset anyways. The other problem I have encountered is with the volume. On highest, it is very adequate, but the people around me could hear what was coming out of the headset. I may just have a poor sense of hearing, but I thought I should throw this out. However, these two points were very minor, and I would still buy it if I would do it over again.
