Wow, nice deal.
This is pretty sweet even compared to the $300 deal a while back. This might be because they're trying to phase in newer models. It's a good deal for people waiting to buy one when prices drop.
Nice!
They dont seem to have any 40GB models
cool, better deal than I got mine for. Too bad you have to monkey w/ their credit card.
Yeah, wtf. They don't have 40GB anymore.
HOT!
the more cards you apply for the worse your credit rating becomes
and you are giving out all your personal information to Sony without a root kit.
The 40GB is out but it looks like you can preorder the 80GB for the same price. Where does the credit card deal actually show up? Is it after you enter your name and address?
Did this offer a few months back...Signed up for the card and in a couple weeks they had credited the money back to the card. They also were offering no interest for a year and free shipping...Only bad part had to pay tax.
hey #9, sony's rootkits were on their sony BMG music CDs, which is a totally different part of the corporation. Thats like saying you hate Fox Networks because you hate Myspace (both owned by News Corp.). Besides, they stopped using rootkits, and all you had to do to fix it was hold <shift> to prevent the autoload from kicking in.
Hey #12, you seem kind of gullible so I hope you die soon. *smirk*
#10 - yeah, after you give addy and sign up with email and password it puts up a Checkout screen with shipping options and payment option. One is to use Sony Finance. Then you give all your private data.
Says should be in stock by 9/1
Thanks EchoTony, think I'm going to jump on this one. Not sure if I'll play any games but thats a great price for a BluRay player
.
Of course I have a Sony Card and the playstation is 60,000 points. For that many points you would have $600 from Discover Card, and that doesn't include when Discover gives bonus points, double points on groceries and gas, or when Discover gives 20% extra when you cash out for gift cards.
16, huh? Are you suggesting buying a P3 with a discover card to get points? or redeeming discover points for a P3, or what?
This thing can't play PS2 games and doesn't come with a dualshock controller. This is the best price I've seen for the 40 GB setup though.
Very bizarre.
I sign up for the financing and get approved for $5k.
I go the cart and try to check out using the new card and get denied.
This is a really sweet definitely considering it
