This deal requires Sony Credit Card signup, so read on if interested. Sony Style has the Playstation 3 console (40GB) for $400 + $0 shipping = $400. Upon clicking Checkout you'll see that they are offering a $100 statement credit with your first $299 Sony Card purchase. Apply for immediate approval and it drops your PS3 price to $300 shipped. Includes one SixAxis PS3 Controller.

I got the 60gb PS3 for $350 under a similar program a while back. Another nice thing about that credit card for me is that it is interest free for purchases through August, and then the interest rate is only 8.9% (pretty good for a CC).

This promo has been running for awhile. "Statement Credit will be posted to your Sony Card Statement within 8-12 weeks from Qualifying Purchase."

Agree with #1 and #2. The DualShock is worthless unless things that vibrate float your boat?

#7, that happened to me me also, received a letter about a month later stating that since I already had a Chase account, I couldn't have another.

#7 / 11, sounds like you have poor credit or something. I got this deal months ago and already had a chase card, just not a sony card. $100 credit showed up on my first statement, plus that was when it came with a second controller.

#8, Sony Entertainment's HQ is in CA, so yes, they charge tax in CA.

I don't beleive the 40GB model has PS2 emulation, does it? I thinkt he new 80GB model coming out in June does, though. I will probably wait for that since I still have quite a few PS2 games I'd like to keep around for a while.

another ding to your credit score to save 100. Worth it to some and not to others.
