This deal requires Sony Playstation Card signup, so read on if interested. Sony Style has the Playstation 3 console (80GB) for $400. They are offering a $100 statement credit with your first Sony Playstation Card purchase, plus up to an additional $200 credits for spending $3000 over the next six months. Apply for immediate approval and it drops your PS3 price to $300 immediately, and $100 after qualifying for the additional $200 credits.

$200 back on $3000 in purchases is a 6.7% return. All other cash back rewards cards only offer 1% on everyday purchases and a max of 3% on gas and grocery purchases. If you have problems managing your credit cards and debt, duh this is not for you. And for those thinking spending $3000 in six months is ridiculous should take a closer look at their finances. Just food costs alone should make up at least half of that amount.

tons of haters on here, i think its a great deal. Im a college student so spending 3k in 6months is not in the picture(on scholarship so my classes are like $400/semester). definitely going to sign up and get a ps3 for $300.

Careful...bacon's a burp fraud. You'll be stuck with a $400 Sony credit card bill and months of dispute.

f Sony. I applied for a card last Oct when there was a $150 promotion then they refued to give me the credit saying there was no promotion associated with my card. After 2 calls they said there was only $100 promotion when I applied for the card. I requested to get a list of promotions last year by Sony but they refused to release. I was told a manager would call me back but there has been no call after more than a week.
    F Sony Rewards.

if you are in the market for a PS3 and new credit card then it is a great deal. I will wait to buy one if ever. I still do not own a ps2 and never own a ps1 so there is a trend to my madness..

I jumped on this when it was $150 off back in December. It's not bad, but beware. You have to jump through some additional hoops to get Sony to credit your account. You have to sign up for some website and register with them to get the credit. The Terms of Service also say that Sony has up to 90 days to credit your account. By the 91st day and no credit I called Sony and they were very nice. Customer Service Rep took my information (as well as the serial number of the unit and a few other numbers from the PS3 box) and the credit posted a few days later. I had to call the credit card company to ask them to send me a check for $150.

All in all it worked out. A bit of a hassle and definitely a delayed payment. But others didn't seem to have that issue. Read the fine print first!!

Got mine! Came fast. It didn't come with the additional DualShock controller so I had to call sony. Didn't have an issue and sony is shipping my second controller 2nd day shipping.

    Sweet!
