Does anyone know if an updated version of the PS3 is in the works? Although this seems to be a great buy, I would rather spend my money on the latest technology available.
#9 A slim ps3 version is in the works but probably won't be for awhile... since they didn't announce anything about it at E3.
As for all the people complaining about lack of BC... really are you going to buy a PS3 for 300+ dollars just to play PS2 games? I have a BC and I tried playing an old game and i had to take it out since it looked so dated. If you really want BC there is eBay or craigslist for that.

I ordered on 6/3 with 3-5 day shipping and they just delayed my delivery date to 6/24. Anyone else just have this problem?
