I am not a gamer but want to use it to play the Japanese Gundam PSP game. Would this work? Also, can I use it as a tablet since it does have WIFI?
^ If you can't immediately, I'm sure there will be a software hack that will allow you to soon.
Also, I'm supposed to be winning one these on here, right?
If I don't win one, I'll most likely wait for a more complete listing of cross-platform games, either already available or planned for release. Really interested in taking my PS3 games on the road. Disappointed in the decision to mandate ridiculously expensive proprietary memory units, but thems be the breaks.
I heard the Japanese have a device you can buy from sony that allows you to load your UMD games onto the PSV but will not be available in the USA ever.
But the USA version you will be able to play all games you were able to play on original psp as long as they were downloadable through the psn store, and i bet similar to all other consoles, the PSV has a region code in it that only allows you to play your own region's releases.
Even if you could mod it and play other regions, they might do what MS did and ban your system for life, if you managed to get another region's game onto your console and then try to play online.
Sony Vita vaporware.
