order that for the same price about a month ago. it didn't have the red section. it was all black. don't know if there is a difference. speed is comparable to my other usb drives.

I don't own this one but historically PNY's budget drives have had fairly mediocre to poor performance (similar to Kingston) relative to the faster budget drives available like OCZ Rally 2 or Patriot Xporter XT.
