Sold out, and a good thing at under $6.66 per billion bytes, it could have been a sign of the end times being upon us.

Funny, I would have seen this this morning on vacation in my hotel suite. Got distracted with room service. After I came back from spa, check here and few other place the deal is sold out. Would be nice to pair 12gb of memory under 80 bucks. Like #4 say in the past over 4gb is overkill and I agree.. Yes, I would have bought three 4gb of memory anyway since the price is cheap although I don't like PYN memory (Just a personal choice) nothing bad about the Company.. Bought many things from PYN with rebates, and got them all..

For normal computer usage, you only need 1gb per core. For gaming and works like photograph and server, you need 2gb per core. Especially with the quadcore available and the new hexcore and octacore coming out. A 12gb ram system will be the norm in a year or two.

Most motherboards have a max ram of 8GB. So 12gb ram is not supported annd most mobo only has 2 ram slots. The new mobo has 24gb max with up to 6 slots.

It really doesn't hurt your system to have more than what it is using because when you do use it, it reduce overheating and preserve the life of the computer longer.
