I've read a lot of bad reviews, too. My wife bought one for us to just play with, though, and I haven't had any issues with it. Seems to be very hit-or-miss with most users. Either it just works or it doesn't; not much middle ground for Pogoplug.
free shipping seems to be gone
It seems you may be better off paying someone $16 to stab you in the eye for the same user experience. The Amazon reviews don't represent the 3 star status, it sounds awful.
